Whole-grain Italian Croutons
Making your own croutons is not only super simple, they’re far tastier than the store-bought kind!
Ingredients
2 tbsp Bruschetta Seasoning or Pizza Seasoning
1⁄4 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil
1⁄2 loaf (5 cups) whole-grain bread, gluten-free bread, or stale, leftover bread, cut in 1" cubes
1⁄4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325° F (160° C).
In a large bowl, combine seasoning with water. Let stand 5 min. Whisk in olive oil. Add bread, and toss to coat evenly. Add parmesan, and toss again.
Spread in an even layer on Sheet Pan and bake, stirring half way through, until toasted and golden, 15–20 minutes. They will get crispier as they cool.
Serve over salad or soup. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 2 weeks.

Tips
If croutons lose crispness after storing or freezing, bake again at 325° F (160° C) for ten minutes to restore crunchy texture.
