Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) cold butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 12 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp eggnog spice
  • Royal Icing, optional
  • 2 12 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • 2 large egg whites

Preparation

  1. Cream together butter and icing sugar. Add vanilla extract.
  2. Add flour, cornstarch and spice, and beat dough until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to 1⁄2” thickness. Cut into desired shapes and place on a Sheet Pan lined with a Sheet Pan Liner.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes. Do not brown.
  6. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
