Turmeric Tea Poached White Fish

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tbsp Turmeric & Ginger Blend Enhanced Herbal Tea
  • 10 - 12 oz (280 - 340 g) white fish fillets
  • 2 tsp Seafood & Fish Seasoning
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Combine water, lemon juice, and Tea in a frying pan and bring to a boil. Steep for 5 minutes, strain, and return liquid to pan.
  2. Season fish with Seafood & Fish Seasoning, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper.
  3. Gently place fish in liquid, cover pan and simmer for 8–12 minutes (depending on thickness of fillets), spooning hot liquid overtop as the fish cooks.
  4. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve with mashed potatoes or rice pilaf.
