Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp Burger Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Taco Seasoning
  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground turkey
  • 14 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 12 tsp Sea Salt, freshly ground
  • 12 tsp Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 14 cup Guacamole, prepared
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 3 tbsp Guacamole Dip Mix
  • lime juice, optional
  • 4 gluten-free Buns

Preparation

  1. Whisk first 5 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in turkey and gluten-free breadcrumbs. Season with Salt and Pepper.
  3. Form into 4 — 1⁄2” thick patties.
  4. Lightly oil, and preheat grill to medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes lid closed, flip, and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until instant read thermometer indicates a Food Safe internal temperature of 175° F (80° C).
  5. Serve bun-less, or on gluten-free buns with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and a dollop of prepared Guacamole.

Tips

Ensure an instant-read thermometer indicates a Food Safe internal temperature of 165° F (74° C) for ground chicken or turkey. Hold the cooked patty with a pair of tongs. Insert the thermometer sideways and wait 30 seconds before reading.
