Bring Thai-inspired street food vibes to your kitchen. Known in Thailand as Pad Kra Pao Gai, this dish is savoury, sweet, and mildly spicy. Even if you’re not a fan of fish sauce, add a few splashes to the dish at the end of cooking: it adds more depth and an irresistible, umami flavour! For an even more authentic Thai experience, serve the prepared dish with steamed rice and a fried egg.

Ingredients

  • 12 lb (227 g) trimmed green beans, about 2 cups
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground chicken
  • 1 pkg Thai Basil Chicken Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cups baby spinach
  • 1–2 tsp fish sauce, optional

Preparation

  1. Cut beans into 1" pieces. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in Wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and seasoning; stir-fry 2 min, breaking up meat.
  3. Stir in green beans and soy sauce; stir-fry 3 min, or until chicken is cooked. Add spinach, stir-fry until spinach is wilted. Stir in fish sauce, if desired.
