Lucky for you, getting lost in the furniture metropolis that is IKEA® is no longer a prerequisite for filling up on their iconic Swedish meatballs. And, these meatballs are easier to make than putting together that new bedframe—we guarantee it! Serve up this one-pan wonder with mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam, and maybe some pickled cucumbers, for the full, Swedish experience.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) lean ground pork
1⁄4 cup breadcrumbs
1 pkg Swedish Meatball Seasoning, divided
1 tbsp oil
1 cup water
1⁄4 cup milk, your choice
1 tsp soy sauce
Preparation
In a large bowl, using a fork, combine pork, breadcrumbs, and 2 tbsp seasoning. Form into 16 meatballs (about 2 tbsp each).
In Sauté Pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add meatballs; cover and cook 10 min, flipping halfway.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine remaining seasoning with water, milk, and soy sauce.
Remove meatballs from pan and set aside. Do not clean pan. Reduce heat to low and add seasoning mixture to pan. Stir constantly until thick. Return meatballs to pan and toss with gravy.
