Stampede Burgers

Round up your family for a stick-to-your-ribs burger inspired by Canada's Calgary Stampede.

Ingredients
  • 1 12 lbs (675 g) lean ground beef

  • 14 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp Burger Seasoning

  • 1 - 3 tsp chipotle chili, or your favourite hot sauce

  • 14 cup ketchup

Instructions
  • Combine all ingredients and mix well.

  • With water-moistened hands, form mixture into 1” thick patties.

  • Place patties on a barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Close lid and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Flip patties and top with prepared barbecue or grilling sauce, then continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer indicates a food-safe internal temperature of 160° F (71° C).
