Slow Cooker Chicken Souvlaki

Whether it’s a fun-filled weekend or a busy weekday, dinner can just magically appear while you tackle your to-do list—enter, your slow cooker! This'll bring you a hassle-free it dinner that’s bursting with Mediterranean flavours. Prep things in the morning, then set it and forget it.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pkg Chicken Souvlaki Seasoning
  • Sea Salt, if desired
  • Black Pepper, if desired
  • 1 12 lbs (690 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pork, or lamb, cut into strips
  • 4 bell peppers, sliced
  • 8 pitas, warmed

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl combine oil, lemon juice, and Souvlaki Seasoning. Season with Salt and Pepper, if desired.
  2. Toss chicken, peppers, and oil mixture together in a slow cooker and spread out evenly.
  3. Close lid and cook 3 hours on high, or 6 hours on low, or until chicken is cooked and the peppers are soft.
  4. Serve with warm pitas and your favorite fixings.
