Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Skillet Lasagna Seasoning
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 can (5.5 oz/156 ml) tomato paste
  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
  • 2 cups uncooked Mafalda pasta or broken-up lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, whisk seasoning with water and tomato paste.
  2. In Sauté Pan, cook ground beef over medium-high heat, using Ground Meat Separator to break up beef into small chunks until browned. Drain.
  3. Add in reserved seasoning mixture, then stir in pasta. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15–17 min, or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat. Top with mozzarella; cover for 2 min or until melted.

Tips

Look for Mafalda pasta in the pasta section of your grocery store—it looks like mini lasagna noodles, with its flat surface and wavy, ruffled edges. If you can't find any, simply swap with broken-up lasagna noodles.

Elevate this everyday dinner by adding dollops of ricotta to the pan once cooked, then top with fresh basil.
