Sesame Crunch Chickpea Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small zucchini, grated
  • 2 slices sandwich bread (gluten-free, if desired)
  • 14 cup crunchy peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Ginger Dressing Mix
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Crunch Topper
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • vegetable oil, for grilling

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, or with a masher, combine chickpeas, zucchini, bread, nut butter, Sesame Ginger Dressing Seasoning, Sesame Crunch Topper, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper. Pulse until roughly chopped.
  2. Form the mixture into four patties. Patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Heat a fry pan to medium. Add oil and pan-fry patties for approximately 5 minutes per side, until crisp and brown on the outside and warmed through. Serve with your favourite burger buns and fixings.
