Salisbury Steak with Béarnaise Sauce

Looking for a fancy date night on a dime? Look no further than these juicy, tender ground beef patties doused in rich, tangy Béarnaise sauce. They’re ready in just 15 minutes with almost no cleanup required! Top each steak with 1⁄4 cup of Rosemary Garlic Mushrooms for an even more elevated dining experience at home.

Ingredients

  • 12 lb (225 g) lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Montreal Steak Rub or Beef & Steak Seasoning
  • 2 slices French bread
  • 14 cup prepared Béarnaise Sauce
  • 12 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 pkg Béarnaise Sauce Mix
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly brush with oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine beef with egg, breadcrumbs, and rub. Form into two patties.
  3. Grill patties with lid closed, 4–5 min per side, until cooked through. While the patties are cooking, grill bread 1 min per side.
  4. Top each bread slice with Salisbury steak patty. Drizzle each patty with 2 tbsp of sauce.

Tips

No grill? Pan fry patties in Sauté Pan over medium-high heat in 1⁄2 tbsp of oil, 4–5 min per side. Toast bread right on the pan or in the toaster, if desired.

Prepare Bearnaise Sauce the night before and reheat in the microwave until warm, whisking every 30 seconds.

Swap panko breadcrumbs for 1⁄2 pkg Crispy & Crunchy Coating Mix.
