Rum Balls

Perfect for holiday parties and home-baked gifts!

Ingredients

  • 12 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 13 cup dark rum
  • 14 cup corn syrup
  • 2 12 cups finely chopped chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 34 cup finely chopped nuts
  • cocoa or icing sugar, ground nuts, chocolate wafer crumbs or chocolate sprinkles, for decorating – optional

Preparation

  1. Melt Chocolate in stainless-steel bowl over hot water.
  2. Mix in sugar, rum and corn syrup. Stir in chocolate wafer crumbs, Cinnamon and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Scrape down sides of bowl, cover and refrigerate until mixture is firm.
  3. Form into 1” balls, roll in your choice of cocoa, icing sugar, ground nuts, chocolate wafer crumbs or chocolate sprinkles.
  4. Layer in an airtight container, placing a sheet of parchment paper between layers. Rum balls will keep for up to 1 month in freezer.
