Rich Cocoa Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 34 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 tsp baking powder
  • 1 12 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnut pieces

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  2. Lightly spray a 9 x 13" pan with vegetable oil.
  3. Melt butter in large bowl. Add both sugars and cocoa and stir well.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together flour and baking powder. Combine both mixtures, add walnuts and pour into prepared pan.
  6. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
