Polenta Fries

Tired of the ol’ potato? Switch up your fry game with polenta – aka – cornmeal. Kind of like the French fry version of cornbread. Give it a whirl!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup cornmeal

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp Tuscan Chicken Burger Seasoning or Fajita Seasoning, or seasoning of your choice

  • 3 cups water

  • olive oil

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 450° F (230° C).

  • In a Multipurpose Steamer, blend cornmeal with cheese and seasoning. Stir in water.

  • Cover and microwave on high for 10 minutes. Cool completely (refrigerate if in a hurry)

  • Turn polenta out onto a cutting board. Cut into French fry-shaped pieces. Place on a crisper, then use a basting brush to lightly brush with oil.

  • Bake until crispy, 5 - 7 minutes.
