This better-for-you recipe uses veggie pepperoni, greatly reducing fat content. Your family won’t even notice!
Ingredients
1 recipe prepared Basic Pizza Dough
1 pkg dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1⁄2 tsp Sea Salt, ground
2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup Marinara Sauce
1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes
3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix
24 slices veggie pepperoni
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 1⁄2 cups partly-skimmed mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450° F (230° C).
Roll out Pizza Dough and cut into 8 flat portions. Top half of each portion with Marinara Sauce, veggie pepperoni, vegetables and mozzarella.
Fold over other half of each portion and form a seal around the outside, forming a half-moon shape. Place on Sheet Pan lined with Sheet Pan Liner and bake for 20-25 minutes and serve.
