Pepperoni Calzones

This better-for-you recipe uses veggie pepperoni, greatly reducing fat content. Your family won’t even notice!

Ingredients
  • 1 recipe prepared Basic Pizza Dough

  • 1 pkg dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 12 tsp Sea Salt, ground

  • 2 12 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce

  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes

  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes

  • 3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix

  • 24 slices veggie pepperoni

  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

  • 1 12 cups partly-skimmed mozzarella cheese

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 450° F (230° C).

  • Roll out Pizza Dough and cut into 8 flat portions. Top half of each portion with Marinara Sauce, veggie pepperoni, vegetables and mozzarella.

  • Fold over other half of each portion and form a seal around the outside, forming a half-moon shape. Place on Sheet Pan lined with Sheet Pan Liner and bake for 20-25 minutes and serve.
