Pears Poached with Mulling Spices
This simple, yet elegant, dessert is sure to wow friends and family alike!
Ingredients
4 cups Mulled Wine, prepared, or prepared Mulled Cider
4 cups red wine
2 tbsp Mulling Spices
1⁄2 cup brandy, optional
cinnamon sticks, for garnish - optional
2 oranges, thinly sliced, for garnish - optional
2 lemons, thinly sliced, for garnish - optional
1 cup sugar
4 large pears or apples, peeled
Preparation
In Multipurpose Pot, simmer first 2 ingredients in a saucepan for 5 minutes.
Add pears and simmer until barely fork tender, 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
