Pears Poached with Mulling Spices

Ingredients
  • 4 cups Mulled Wine, prepared, or prepared Mulled Cider

  • 4 cups red wine

  • 2 tbsp Mulling Spices

  • 12 cup brandy, optional

  • cinnamon sticks, for garnish - optional

  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced, for garnish - optional

  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced, for garnish - optional

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 4 large pears or apples, peeled

Instructions
  • In Multipurpose Pot, simmer first 2 ingredients in a saucepan for 5 minutes.

  • Add pears and simmer until barely fork tender, 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
