Oven-roasted Chickpeas
Nix the popcorn and chips at happy hour or your next movie night and crunch on protein-rich, high-fibre roasted seasoned chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans). Add to mezze platters, cheese and charcuterie boards or use as a topper for salads. The usually creamy & soft beans are transformed into crispy, crunchy bites.
Ingredients
1 can (19 oz/540 ml) chickpeas, drained, rinsed and pat dry with a clean towel
2 tbsp olive oil
1 -2 tbsp Donair Seasoning or Chicken Souvlaki Seasoning
Sea salt, coarsely ground, to taste
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400° F (205° C).
Blot chickpeas dry with a paper towel. In a bowl, mix chickpeas with oil, seasoning and salt. Spread in a single layer on Sheet Pan lined with Sheet Pan Liner.
Bake for 30–35 min, or until chickpeas are browned and crunchy. Serve immediately.
