12 mini bagels

Make a batch of Epicure's Basic Pizza Dough or save time and start with store-bought pizza dough. Both make big, fluffy, chubby bagels best eaten straight out of the oven!

Ingredients

  • oil, for greasing
  • 34 lb (200 g) prepared pizza dough
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 12 tsp Sea Salt, ground
  • 2 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp water or milk
  • Everything Bagel Whole Food Topper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F (220° C). Lightly brush a Perfect Portion Bagel & Donut Pan with oil and place on a Sheet Pan.
  2. Cut pizza dough into 12 pieces and, using your hands, roll pieces into little ropes.
  3. Place one rope into each donut mold cavity.
  4. Lightly beat together egg and water and generously brush tops, then liberally sprinkle with whole food sprinkle. Bake until golden, 15–17 minutes.

Tips

Serve mini bagels at brunch with all of your favourite condiments—Jam, whole food sprinkles, and cream cheese spreads (simply add your fave dip mixes to cream cheese). We love adding Summer Berry Sweet Dip Mix or Nacho Cheese Dip Mix.
