Marinara Shepherds Pie

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs (1.5 kg) potatoes, peeled and quartered

  • 1 12 lbs (675 g) lean ground beef or turkey

  • 2 tbsp Beef & Steak Seasoning or Buffalo Seasoning

  • 1 cup prepared Marinara Sauce

  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes

  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes

  • 3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix

  • 12 cup Savoury Herb Gravy, prepared

  • 2 tbsp Savory Herb Gravy Mix

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 1 12 cups frozen mixed vegetables

  • Black Pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp Herb & Garlic Dip Mix or French Onion Dip Mix

  • 34 cup buttermilk

Instructions
  • Boil potatoes in salted water until tender in Multipurpose Pot.

  • Pre-heat oven to 350° F.

  • Meanwhile, cook meat in a frying pan until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in seasoning, marinara sauce, gravy, and vegetables. Bring to a boil and season with pepper. Spoon into a 9” x 13” casserole dish and set aside.

  • Drain potatoes and mash. Stir in dip mix and buttermilk. Spoon onto meat mixture.

  • Bake for 45 min, or until potatoes are slightly golden.
