Maple Roasted Root Vegetables

A touch of Canadian maple sweetness is an amazing complementary flavour for roasted root vegetables.

Ingredients
  • 4 medium carrots, peeled and cut into sticks

  • 3 large parsnips, peeled and cut into sticks

  • 1 small turnip, peeled and cut into sticks

  • 1 large sweet potato or yam, cut into sticks or wedges

  • 2 large onions, cut into wedges

  • 2 - 3 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • Rosemary Garlic Seasoning, or your favourite, to taste

  • Maple Bacon Sea Salt - Grinder, to taste

  • Maple Bacon Pepper - Grinder, to taste

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).

  • Toss together 8 first ingredients. Season to taste.

  • Place on a Sheet Pan lined with a Sheet Pan Liner and cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until vegetables are fork-tender.
