Maple Bacon Braised Kale
Ingredients
3 strips bacon, thinly sliced
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 1⁄2 cups Vegetable Broth
1 1⁄2 tsp Vegetable Broth Mix
1 cup boiling water
1 lb (450 g) kale, stems and inner ribs removed
Sea Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Cook bacon in a frying pan until crisp. Stir in Minced Garlic and Bouillon. Bring to a boil.
Add kale a handful at a time, letting it wilt before adding more. Season with Sea Salt and Pepper.
Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until kale is tender.
Uncover and cook until liquid has evaporated. Transfer to a bowl and serve.
