This is truly a summer lovin’ type of appy. It’s cool, creamy, and loaded with pizza flavour. Make it your own by topping with your favourite pizza fixings, like roasted red peppers, cooked meat, or (dare I say it?) pineapple! Use a low, wide bowl so it’s easy to dip through all the layers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Pizza Dip Hot Dip Mix
  • 1 cup plain 2% Greek yogurt
  • 12 brick (8 oz/250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce or tomato sauce
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • 12 small red onion
  • 12 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine hot dip mix, yogurt, and cream cheese. Spread dip in a large bowl or dish that will hold at least 5 cups.
  2. Using a spoon, dollop marinara sauce overtop, then spread out to the edges.
  3. Dice bell pepper and onion. Place on top of marinara, then sprinkle on cheese. Add additional toppings, if desired.
  4. Serve with sliced veggies, tortilla chips, or crackers for dipping.
