Keep this recipe in your back pocket for busy weeknights. It’s a comfort food classic made even easier thanks to the Multipurpose Steamer. Revamp leftover soup as a rich, tomatoey sauce to clear out your fridge and get a meal on the table STAT. Hurray for easy dinners!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni or bite-size pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
  • 2 cups prepared Tomato Soup or Marinara Sauce
  • 1 pkg Tomato Soup Seasoning
  • 1 can (6 oz/156 ml) tomato paste
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream, optional
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Preparation

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot according to package directions. Drain well.
  2. Meanwhile, place beef in Multipurpose Steamer. Cover; microwave on high 4 min, or until beef is cooked through. Once cooked, carefully drain excess liquid from steamer. Use Ground Meat Separator to break up chunks.
  3. Add cooked pasta and soup to Steamer; stir to combine. Top with cheese. Microwave, uncovered, 3 min, or until casserole is heated through and cheese is bubbly.
  4. Let casserole rest, uncovered, 5 min, before serving.
