Grilled Montreal Steak

When it comes to grilling steaks, you can’t go wrong with strip loin. It's the best of both worlds with good marbling for a tender, juicy and flavourful steak, but is still considered a lean cut. Paired with bold, peppery Montreal Steak Rub, you’re in for a treat! Cook an extra steak tonight, then make Epicure Steak Sandwich for an easy dinner another night.

Ingredients

  • 4 strip loin steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 - 4 tbsp Montreal Steak Rub or Beef & Steak Seasoning

Preparation

  1. Using a basting brush, brush both sides of each steak with oil. Sprinkle both sides with Montreal Steak Rub, then rub into meat on both sides.
  2. Grill over medium-high heat, turning often, until cooked as you like. For medium-rare, estimate 4–6 minutes. Remove from grill and let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
