Grilled Burgers
One simple recipe, so many options to customize!
Ingredients
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp 3 Onion or CCB Dip Mix
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef, turkey, chicken, or pork
1 cup regular or gluten-free breadcrumbs
Sea Salt, optional
Black Pepper, optional
4 small multigrain or gluten-free buns
4 slices low-fat cheddar cheese
1⁄2 cup Poco Picante Salsa, prepared
2 tbsp Poco Picante Salsa Mix
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 tsp lime juice, optional
cilantro, optional
Preparation
Whisk first three ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Mix in meat and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
Form into 4 patties, 1⁄2" thick.
Cook for 10–15 min on greased grill over medium-high heat or in a fry pan with lid closed, flipping once, or until cooked though and an instant read thermometer indicates a Food Safe internal temperature of 175° F.
Place burgers on buns and top with cheese and salsa.

Tips
Make It Vegetarian: Substitute 2 Portobello mushrooms and 4 cups black beans, baked and puréed, in place of the ground beef.
