Antioxidant-rich ingredients like tomatoes and peppers help protect cells from damage and inflammation.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
  • 1 pkg Chicken Souvlaki Seasoning or Donair Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 Roma tomato
  • 12 shallot
  • 12 small bell pepper
  • 14 English cucumber
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 14 cup feta cheese

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix turkey and seasoning. Form into four equal burger patties.
  2. Heat oil in Sauté Pan over medium heat. Add patties and cook for 4–5 min per side, or until cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, chop the tomato, shallot, bell pepper, and cucumber into large chunks and place in a food processor. Pulse the vegetables a few times until they are combined and cut into smaller chunks. Be careful not to blend too much—you still want some chunks in your salsa.
  4. Split buns and toast, if desired. Spread buns with mayo and place lettuce on bottom buns. Divide burgers, salsa, feta, and additional toppings (if using) between bottom buns. Add top bun to each fully dressed bottom bun.
