Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup dark molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 14 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tbsp Gingerbread Spices
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
  2. Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses, mix thoroughly, then add egg and mix again.
  3. Sift next 4 ingredients. Add to creamed mixture.
  4. Form cookies into 3⁄4" balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on Sheet Pan lined with Sheet Pan Liner. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon. Bake for 10 minutes.
