While this fan fave is typically made with cooked, custard filling, we prefer the speed, ease and chocolaty goodness of a no-bake, fuss-free pudding mix. Slice extra bananas for the topping, and let the kiddos decorate!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
  • 2 cups milk, your choice
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 prepared 9" graham pie shell or prebaked crust
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, using a whisk or hand mixer on low, beat pudding mix with milk for 2 min. Cover and let chill for 10–15 min.
  2. Peel banana; thinly slice and arrange on bottom of pie shell.
  3. Spoon chilled pudding overtop. Dollop with whipped cream and use a spoon to create swirls. Or, fill a pastry bag with whipped cream, then decoratively pipe rosettes around pie.

Tips

DIY Pastry Bag: Fold one of the bottom corners of a large resealable bag up to the opposite corner at the top; secure the line with duct tape. The bag will have a triangle shape. Place into a tall glass (this makes it easier to fill) and fold edge over. Spoon in whipped cream and roll up overhanging edge. Squeeze out any excess air and twist the bag to seal. Snip the bottom tip of the bag to allow the whipped cream to flow freely.
