Firehouse Shredded Beef

Hungry bellies? Nothing like a hearty, beef dish to turn 'em into happy bellies. Take a couple minutes to prep the roast, then let your slow cooker do its thing. This is a great solution to any of your meal prep woes.

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs (1.3 kg) beef chuck roast

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 pkg Cincinnati Chili Seasoning

  • 1 cup Better Than Beef Broth

  • 1 tbsp Better Than Beef Broth Mix

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 can (6 oz/156 ml) tomato paste

Instructions
  • Cut roast lengthwise into 3" thick slices. Heat oil in SautĂ© Pan and brown beef 2 min per side.

  • In a slow cooker, combine seasoning with broth and tomato paste. Place beef in slow cooker, turning to coat with seasoning mixture. Cover and cook on low 6 hrs.

  • Remove beef from slow cooker onto a cutting board. Using two forks, shred beef. Add shredded beef back into slow cooker and stir to combine with sauce.

  • Serve in tacos, burritos, sandwiches, rice bowls, and more.

Tips

Swap 3 lbs (1.3 kg) boneless, skinless chicken for beef.
