Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 34 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • zest and juice of 1/2 orange
  • 1 recipe prepared Pancakes & Waffles
  • 1 pkg Pancake & Waffle Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk, your choice
  • 2 tbsp oil, + more for cooking
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Summer Berry Sweet Dip Mix, to taste
  • icing sugar or maple syrup, to taste

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, heat first 4 ingredients over medium heat. Once it comes to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, gently squishing cranberries, until it reaches a jam-like consistency, approximately 10 minutes.
  2. Serve waffles open faced, topped with cranberry orange sauce. Refrigerate any leftover sauce. Top with Sweet Dip Mix, icing sugar, or maple syrup, if desired.
