Embrace the rustic charm of French dining right from your own kitchen! Coq au Vin is a classic French stew braised in red wine. Effortlessly prep this one-pot, gourmet classic on a dime for any occasion—from Christmas to “Friendsgiving!” It’s the ultimate main course that says, “I’ve got this,” even when time is of the essence.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter or oil
  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 12 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pkg Coq au Vin Seasoning
  • 1 cup dry red wine

Preparation

  1. Heat butter or oil in Sauté Pan. Slice chicken thighs in half, add to pan, and brown.
  2. Meanwhile, thinly slice carrot.
  3. Add carrot and mushrooms to pan. Stir-fry 3 min, or until mushrooms start to soften.
  4. Stir in seasoning and wine; bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 10 min. Uncover and simmer for 3–5 min, or until sauce thickens.
