Bread and chocolate is a common after-school snack for children in Spain. Add olive oil and sea salt to turn these little bites into a grown-up affair.
Ingredients
16 slices baguette 1/4" thick, approximately half a baguette
1⁄3 cup olive oil
1⁄3 cup dark Belgian chocolate
1 tbsp olive oil, for garnish
Sea Salt, coarsely ground to taste
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
Lightly brush baguette slices with oil and place on Sheet Pan lined with parchment paper. Bake approximately 10 minutes, until golden on each side.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle each with approximately 1 tsp dark Belgian chocolate. Return to oven for an additional 2 minutes. Remove.
Add a drop of oil and coarsely grind Sea Salt over each. Serve.
