This year is all about cozy nostalgia, and what better way to indulge that than to throw it back with this beef stroganoff? One pot, loads of comfort, and a whole lot of flavour make this classic dish one for the books.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) beef strips
1 pkg Beef Stroganoff Seasoning, divided
3 tbsp oil, divided
2 tbsp soy sauce, divided
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 package (8 oz/227 g) sliced mushrooms, about 2½ cups
1 cup water
3⁄4 cup light sour cream
6 cups cooked egg noodles or pasta of your choice
Preparation
In a large bowl, combine beef with 1 tbsp each seasoning, oil, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Toss to combine and set aside.
In Sauté Pan, heat remaining 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat; add mushrooms. Sauté until softened, 3–4 min. Add seasoned beef to pan and sauté until browned, about 2–3 min.
Stir in remaining seasoning and soy sauce, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Stir in sour cream. Cover and simmer 3 min.
